Hi I'm Clare,
I'm a certified antenatal, birth and postpartum Doula based in Sedbergh Cumbria.
I am a mum to two beautiful boys and it's through my own experiences that made me want to become a Doula.
As a Doula I provide support to families during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. My role involves offering emotional, physical and informational support to ensure a positive birth experience and help parents transition smoothly into their new roles.
I trained in Somerset with the most amazing team which was run by Katherine Woodbury.
Katherine is an award winning NCT Antenatal teacher, NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor and Doula Mentor.
FAQs
What is a continuum doula?
Continuum Doulas work to a new modern, much needed model of Doulaing.
Traditional Doulas will meet with you twice before the birth and once or twice afterwards.
Continuum Doulas are committed to offering around 6 antenatal visits, attendance of the clients birth and 6 postnatal visits - we know that continuity of carer really makes a difference!
Can I have less antenatal sessions and more postnatal sessions?
Yes, absolutely. You have 12 sessions to use freely either antenatally or postnatally and there is always the option to add more in if you require.
Can I book you just for antenatal or postnatal?
Yes, of course. I can adjust the packages accordingly. Please get in touch!
Do you provide information packs?
Yes, I will provide you with an information pack to help you throughout your pregnancy journey and beyond.
What areas do you cover?
I currently cover Kendal, Lancaster, Sedbergh, Kirkby Lonsdale, Kirkby Stephen and Windermere, as well as surrounding areas. Please let me know where you are located when you get in touch.
